Knowsee recommends Yoga @ YogaPoser

Yoga has been a constant in my life ever since I stepped into my first yoga class 10 years ago. I even got certified as a yoga teacher while I was pregnant and continued my yoga practice until I was about to pop. When I expressed desire to learn more about yoga and entertained the possibility of teaching yoga one day, my friend and yoga teacher, Monica Mathews. recommended me to study with her yoga teacher. Knowing Monica for years and seeing her unique ability to spread her love of yoga to everyone and anyone, I trusted her recommendation. This is how I came to know James Brown and YogaPoser. 

James Brown has been teaching yoga for more than 15 years. James has taught at renowned yoga studios and fitness centers such as Yoga Works, Equinox and Yogaglo. He also helped create and develop teacher training material for the very highly regarded Yoga Works teacher training manual. James has led more than 4000 hours of teacher trainings and taught more than 1000 yoga teachers during his time at Yoga Works. James has also taught celebrities such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sting, The Go-Go’s, Rachel Weisz, Gillian Anderson and Ralph Fiennes.  In 2007, James founded YogaPoser with the philosophy  ”Each yoga student’s practice is as individual as their DNA: singular and unique.” In 2010, the YogaPoser Yoga Beach House opened in Venice Beach, CA.

The YogaPoser studio is located just a few struts from amazing Venice Beach. The studio offers a wide variety of classes catering to beginners to the advance practitioner. YogaPoser also provides flexible teacher training schedules for people who have 9-5 jobs. In addition to classes and teacher training, YogaPoser also has workshops that ranges from human anatomy to yoga philosophy to lifestyle nutrition. 

I have been fortunate enough to have James Brown as my lead teacher during my teacher training with YogaPoser’s 200 hour yoga teacher certification. I had such a good experience that I recommended it to my sister and she is now also a YogaPoser certified yoga teacher. James continues to be a staple on my yoga journey, always there to guide me through my most impossible poses and keeping me up to date on the latest news with the studio and class schedules.
